Q - Do I have to ride horses to do your classes?
A – No! Our classes are designed with the needs of the horse rider in mind, however, are suitable for everyone.

Q – What should I wear?
A – Wear your normal yoga or workout clothes. Please bear in mind that classes take place on a horse property. There may be mud or manure on your way to the barn so please make sure you are wearing something on your feet on your way to class.
Q – What level are your yoga classes?
A – They are suitable for everyone. At Hoof & Harmony, we cater to all your yoga needs whether you are a complete beginner or experienced yogi, whether you can’t touch your toes or can twist yourself up like a pretzel! There will be options and modifications for any challenging asana (pose), and you are encouraged to do what feels right for your body on the day.
Q – What style of yoga are the classes?
A – At Hoof & Harmony, we teach a Vinyasa style class. We also incorporate pranayama (breath work) and relaxation.
Q – What are the benefits of yoga for a horse rider?
A – It will help you improve your flexibility, strength and suppleness. It will also build strength, provide full body conditioning and help to prevent injury. Anyone can do yoga and reap the benefits – equestrian or not!
Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning
Q – What is Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning?
A - Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning is an excellent alternative to traditional “talking” forms of therapy. This modality incorporates horses to facilitate personal growth and healing in individuals, groups, and families.
Q – Will I ride horses in my session?
A – No. Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning is undertaken on the ground and works with the horse, rather than on the horse.
Q – What will I do in a session?
A - A session will look different depending on the needs of the person and the horse involved. Sometimes, particularly with children and young people, the session can involve grooming and just being in a farm environment. Other sessions can involve horsemanship, obstacle courses, scent work and groundwork.
Q – Who is Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning suitable for?
A – Anybody and everybody can benefit from Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning. It can promote general wellness and wellbeing, as well as help develop living skills. Equine Assisted Therapy and Learning has also shown to be a beneficial alternative to traditional “talking” focused therapies and has helped with various mental health conditions.

Q – What qualifications do you have?
A – Hoof & Harmony sessions are facilitated by an Australian Counselling Association accredited counsellor.
Q – Will I be safe?
A – Absolutely!! Hoof & Harmony are very safety conscious. You will be provided with a safety briefing at your first session, will be closely supervised during the session and you’ll never be forced to do anything that you (or the horse) aren’t comfortable with. Hoof & Harmony hold Public Liability Insurance
